Introduction
Hey! My name is Tailor Miles, and I wanted to take a moment to talk about one of my favorite hobbies—collecting. I first got into it back in the 5th grade, and I was immediately drawn to these items because they were both adorable and perfect for collecting. Like most kids, I loved having a collection, whether it was Pokémon cards, Yu-Gi-Oh! cards, Beyblades, Barbies, or Cabbage Patch dolls. One of the best parts was trading with friends; it was always exciting to see what you could get in return for your items.
As I grew older, I noticed changes in the quality of these collectibles, and not always for the better. The toys that were once famous for their signature bobblehead design shifted to having swivel heads as new generations were released, which took away part of their charm. Recently, however, they’ve made a comeback with the return of their classic bobblehead feature. I’ve been keeping track of these changes over time and thought it would be fun to share my observations and critiques.
Why?
You may ask "What's so important about these children's toys?" and that's where I'm here to help! These toys have always been interesting to me since I was a kid and looking back at them just fills me with nostalgia. They basically were all I wanted as a kid a combination of cute animal molds and being very abundant and affordable. I thought this would be a great topic to blog about because they are now coming back, and also in the models I was most fond of as a child. I've learned that they are coming back in the form of the G2 (generation 2) pets. I've been following reviews on the new release and I've noticed there mixed reviews involving the quality, so I will be voicing my opinions and documenting my findings.
I used to love The Little Pet Shop toys as a kid. I am excited to see what kinds of pets you are going to evaluate.
